FAQs

Our curation process is constantly ongoing, so there are some changes to the lineup of brands within our women’s shoe boutique. However, our most popular brands are currently Dolce Vita, Free People, Matisse, Sam Edelman, and Vintage Havana. Each of these brands has a unique aesthetic and vision that adds life and variety to our store.

Sometimes, your shoe size includes a half size, but the boutique shoe you want only comes in whole sizes. Depending on the fit of the shoe, you can size in either direction. If the brand runs large, order a half size down. If the brand runs small, order a half size up.

In cases where the brand runs true to size, consider the materials and usage of the shoe itself. Some materials, like leather, will stretch a little over time, so you can size down. However, shoes designed for long-term wear mean your feet may swell over the course of the day, so you should likely size up to accommodate any swelling.

When shopping at any women’s shoe boutique, you should always look for shoes that are made with high-quality materials, thoughtful design, and durable construction. You should also consider the fit and size of the shoe to ensure your comfort. It can be tough to buy shoes based on looks alone, so explore each product page for sizing guidance. Note which brands have a tendency to run small, run large, or fit just right.

When you finally get your shoes in the mail, try them on and check that the tip of your big toe has about ⅜” to ½” of room from the inside of the shoe. If you have a different toe that’s a little longer than your big toe, check for this same measurement from that toe instead.

At The Willow Tree Boutique, we do offer returns and exchanges on shoes. Please note that returns will receive a store credit, not a refund. Also, you must return the shoes inside the original box with no signs of wear. For more information about returns, please visit our returns FAQs.

The team at The Willow Tree Boutique is full of maximalists who believe the more boutique shoes you have, the better! But we’re not the ones to judge if you prefer a capsule wardrobe.

When it comes to shoes, research shows that the average American owns 19 pairs at any given time. This collection is likely a mix of athletic shoes, sandals, work shoes, and house slippers. Depending on your sense of style and your everyday activities, you may have more of one style of shoe than any other.
